Cross Country 10K, Half Marathon & 10K Canicross

25th March 2018

Returning to a traditional Spring race after the 2016 & 2017 Summer editions this event offers you a unique opportunity to run through pristine woodlands & open meadows in a privately owned estate with glimpses of the beautiful Fritton Lake and plenty of mud included! Run in conjunction with the British Red Cross for 2018 your entry fee includes a £5 donation to this charity to help support the work they do both at home and abroad.

Both the XC 10km and the XC HM will start at Fritton Lake Outdoor Centre with the Half Marathon comprising two laps, and the 10km one lap of a 90% off road course. With a route that takes in a complete circuit of the beautiful Fritton Lake, on woodland trails not normally open to the public, this is XC at it’s best. Enjoy stunning views, glimpses of the lake throughout the woodland and feel at one with nature as you challenge yourself in this event. With varied terrain of 90% undulating woodland and meadowland and a short section on tarmac drive, there is always the possibility of an extremely wet and muddy route due to the close proximity of Fritton Lake.

New for 2018, share the fun of our 10km with your four legged friend in our 10km Canicross event. This beautiful route winds it way around Fritton Lake and comprises 90% off road with a short section on tarmac driveway and quiet country roads towards the beginning and end of the course. Before entering this event please familiarise yourself with the Canicross Rules & Race Details below as these contain essential information about the equipment required to enter this event.

Finishers medals, prizes to age group winners and top 3 males and females overall.
